Title of the technology: Improved four crop pattern: Potato–Pat shak–Jute–T. Aman Year of innovation: 2020 |
||||
2. |
Indroduction: The potato-fallow-Jute-T. Aman cropping pattern is cultivated on about 0.028 million hectares of land in Bangladesh. This technology was developed by JFSD through research activities at farmers’ field during 2017 to 2019. |
||||
3. |
Salient features of the technology: a) In the northern region, farmers usually cultivated jute after harvesting of potato, and pat shak (jute leafy vegetables) can be easily introduced between these two crops b) Potato–Pat shak–Jute–T. Aman cropping pattern could yield 25-30% higher gross return than the practice of existing farmers’ pattern c) This technology was developed by JFSD through research activities at farmers’ field during 2017 to 2019 |
