Salient features of the technology: a) The cropping pattern consists of 4 crops. b) Jute seed growers also produce high-value crops like vegetables and spices, enabling them to become self-sufficient. c) Throughout the Kharif-II and Rabi seasons, farmers can cultivate high-value crops like red amaranthus and garlic with jute seeds in the farmer's cropping pattern (Fallow-Jute-T. Aman). |

Suitability of the technology: For rainfed high and medium high land in Manikganj, Faridpur, Kishoreganj, Rangpur, and Dinajpur, this improved cropping pattern is suitable. The viability of this technology was evaluated in agricultural fields between 2001 and 2004. |
