Indroduction: The viability of this technology was evaluated in the Manikganj region between 1998 and 2003.

3.

Salient features of the technology:

a) The improved four crops containing pattern Wheat+Lentil-Jute-Mungbean can incorporate in place of the two crops containing traditional patterns Potato-Aus-Fallow or Wheat-Jute-Fallow.

b) The land becomes more fertile when pulse crops are incorporated into this pattern, and the farmer benefits financially.

c) Increases crop intensity and productivity.
