Suitability of the technology: The rainfed areas of AEZ-8, particularly the medium high land of Manikganj, are suitable for this improved cropping pattern. The utility of this technology was evaluated in farmer fields from 1997 to 2001. |

Economic benefit of the technology and role for livelihood development: In an improved cropping pattern, the rice equivalent yield of garlic, jute, and T. Aman rice was 9.30, 3.88, and 3.52 ton/ha, respectively. |
