Indroduction: The applicability of this technology was verified in Manikganj, Rangpur and Faridpur regions from 1995 to 2000.

Salient features of the technology:

a) Three crops containing cropping pattern converted into 5 crops containing cropping pattern.

b) Vegetable crops will play a helpful role in providing nutrients to people.

c) Farmers get quick income and higher net profit as all the crops included in this cropping pattern are cash crops.

d) It is possible to earn more profit in a short time especially by cultivating radish, red amaranth, and sweet gourd.

Suitability of the technology: The cropping pattern can be introduced in high land and medium high lands of agro-ecological zones 3, 8 and 16.

Economic benefit of the technology and role for livelihood development: A total profit of Tk 106686 per annum can be achieved by following this improved cropping pattern.
