Indroduction: The viability of this technology was evaluated in the Manikganj region between 1995 and 2000.

a) The farmer's cropping pattern of Potato-Fallow-Radish can be replaced with the improved cropping pattern of Potato-Jute-Radish.

b) Here a cash crop Radish is included in Kharif-II season.

c) Vegetable crops will play a helpful role in providing nutrients to people.

Suitability of the technology: The cropping pattern can be introduced in medium high land of agro-ecological zone 8.

Economic benefit of the technology and role for livelihood development: A total profit of Tk. 144171 per annum can be achieved by following improved cropping system.
