Indroduction: About 0.028 million acres of high, medium high, and medium low land are used to cultivate this pattern. The applicability of this technology was evaluated in the Manikganj and Rangpur regions between 1984 and 1992.

Salient features of the technology:

a) By applying this technology, it might be feasible to better utilize the natural and economic productivity of the land, as all three of the aforementioned crops are the most important and valuable in the country.

b) Farmers' income rises as cropping intensity is increased.

c) Higher yield and yearly income are obtained by using improved crop varieties and agronomic practices rather than the traditional ones.

Suitability of the technology:

High, medium high, and medium low lands in agro-ecological zones 2, 3, 8, and 12 can be cultivated this cropping pattern.

Economic benefit of the technology and role for livelihood development:

Comparing the improved cropping system of Potato-Jute-T. Aman to the conventional cropping system, it is possible to increase farmer income by roughly 25–30%.
