Introduction: Proper sowing time, harvesting time, seed rate and other interculture management play an important role to get better quality fiber and increase fiber yield.

      ·         Fiber yield will increase.

      ·         Cropping intensity will increase.

.      Good quality fiber will be available

Brief description of the technology: 

Sowing Date: 1 April – 30 April

Life span: 110-120 days

Seed rate: Line sowing: 5-6 kg/ha

              Broadcasting: 6-7 kg/ha

Fertilizer dose: Dose and method given by BJRI.

Irrigation: As per needed.

Weed Control: Weeds should be controlled at 20-25 days and 40-45 days after sowing.

Fibre Yield: 2.5 – 2.8 t/ha

Suitability of the technology: It is proved to cultivate this variety in high to medium high land of loamy to sandy-loamy soils having well drainage system throughout the country.

Economic benefit of the technology and role for livelihood development: Due to good fiber yield, quality and market price, farmers become more benefitted financially and it contributes to improve their lifestyle.
