Brief description of the technology: Sowing Date: 15 March- 15 May. Life span: 100 days Seed rate: Jute: Line sowing: 6.5- 7.0 kg/ha. Broadcasting: 7.0-7.5 kg/ha. Fertilizer dose: Dose and method given by BJRI. Irrigation: As per needed. Weed Control: Weeds should be controlled at 20-25 days and 40-45 days after sowing. Yield: Fibre: 2.5-3.5 t/ha. |

Economic benefit of the technology and role for livelihood development: This cropping pattern provides higher economic returns to the jute growers. Greater productive capacity as well as economic income is achieved. |
